Day 29: “An Anime You Wished Was Real”

My apologies for the lack of posting, and my lack of motivation to complete the thirty day challenge in consecutive order.  I shall finish up the thirty posts in the next couple of days, and then devise a posting routine.

This response was rather easy to come up with, although my lack of posting suggests otherwise.  Previously, I posted on Day 2 that One Piece was my favorite anime that I have watched thus far into my anime watching career.  I’ve referenced it thrice in my last thirty posts, so it is sort of a given that I would wish for the show to be real.  I could never get sick of watching One Piece.  The characters are enjoyable to watch grow and develop.  While I don’t want the tragic backstories to be a reality for all of the characters, I think it would be interesting if it was real.  I’ve always heard tales of pirates fighting and looking for buried treasure.  Personally I would love to look for a devil fruit of my own, as well as the One Piece, whatever it may be.  Of course, there might be some individuals that use the devil fruit powers for their own benefit, however, I would still be willing to risk it.

Synopsis: Gol D. Roger was known as the “Pirate King,” the strongest and most infamous being to have sailed the Grand Line. The capture and death of Roger by the World Government brought a change throughout the world. His last words before his death revealed the existence of the greatest treasure in the world, One Piece. It was this revelation that brought about the Grand Age of Pirates, men who dreamed of finding One Piece—which promises an unlimited amount of riches and fame—and quite possibly the pinnacle of glory and the title of the Pirate King.  Enter Monkey D. Luffy, a 17-year-old boy who defies your standard definition of a pirate. Rather than the popular persona of a wicked, hardened, toothless pirate ransacking villages for fun, Luffy’s reason for being a pirate is one of pure wonder: the thought of an exciting adventure that leads him to intriguing people and ultimately, the promised treasure. Following in the footsteps of his childhood hero, Luffy and his crew travel across the Grand Line, experiencing crazy adventures, unveiling dark mysteries and battling strong enemies, all in order to reach the most coveted of all fortunes – One Piece.
